Lundy, slowed for much of the season with a foot injury, finished with 113 yards on 19 carries. Snelling ran for 126 yards on 17 carries.
In six previous games, Lundy gained 191 yards.
The Owls managed 7 yards rushing and 167 yards of total offense, most of it coming against Virginia's backups after the game was out of hand.
Virginia, coming off a bye week after a 7-5 loss to North Carolina, amassed 449 yards of offense and likely would have gained much more, but it started six of its first 10 possessions in Temple territory.
The Cavaliers (5-3) need one win in their final three games to be eligible for a bowl game. They finish the season with home games against Georgia Tech and Virginia Tech and a road game against Miami.
Temple (0-10) must win Nov. 19 at Navy to avoid its first winless season since 1959. Temple technically finished 0-11 in 1986 but only because they had to forfeit six wins due to an ineligible player.
Senior Mike McGann replaced freshman Joe DeSanzo at quarterback for the Owls in the second half, but it didn't help. McGann threw an interception on his first pass, and running back Georg Coleman fumbled on the second possession of the half. Both turnovers resulted in touchdowns for Virginia and a 41-0 lead early in the third quarter.
DeSanzo finished with seven completions on 16 attempts for 69 yards, while McGann, playing mostly against backups, was 9-of-20 for 91 yards.
The Owls avoided a shutout when Ryan Lux made a 30-yard field goal midway through the fourth quarter.
Temple's only offensive highlight, a 72-yard touchdown run by Coleman in the second quarter that would have made it 24-7, was nullified by offsetting personal fouls.
Cavaliers quarterback Marques Hagans, who played into the third quarter, finished 10-of-18 for 132 yards with an interception.
