    • Virginia football is now one of the most consistently strong programs in the country. The George Welsh era has shown that it is possible to establish a winning tradition while keeping an institution's values and integrity intact. Today the Virginia football program is poised to move to a new level of competitiveness. To help make this happen, the University has embarked on a campaign to expand Scott Stadium to a capacity of 60,000 spectators.

    On June 14, 1997, the University announced that alumnus Carl W. Smith of Charlottesville had made the largest single monetary gift in the University's history. However, to receive these funds the gift must be matched dollar for dollar with gifts and revenues from other sources. Contributions to the Carl Smith Center Expansion Project, can be made as an unrestricted gift to the University's Department of Athletics. As plans are finalized in 1998, further information will be communicated.     The Cavalier Suites
    Available for the 2000 season, The Cavalier Suites will provide the ultimate luxury for the die hard Virginia Football fan. Watch the Virginia Cavaliers march to victory in these beautifully designed suites. Each suite will be designed for the maximum in comfort and convenience:

  • Twelve and sixteen seat suites available, game tickets included with each suite

  • Twelve seat suite is 675 square feet

  • Sixteen seat suite is 750 square feet

  • Seats located in open air, in front of each suite, outside movable glass partition

  • Overhead covering of permanent seating area fitted with heat lamps

  • Private restroom within each suite

  • Each suite with own climate control

  • Two TV monitors, one in suite seating area and one inside suite

  • Private parking spaces adjacent to suite area

  • Each suite furnished with refrigerator, sink, two chairs, one couch, four bar stools, closet area, storage cabinets, and two lockable cabinets

  • Each suite comes with four guest passes per game for in-stadium visitors and opportunity to purchase prime reserved stadium seats

  • Catering each game with three menu options

  • Each suite facing large screen 21 x 28 foot videoboard

  • Each suite can be personalized with University photos and other decorative options

  • Flexible lease options beginning with three year term
