Starting Times for Five Virginia Football Games Announced

CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA -The University of Virginia has announced the starting times for five of its football games this season.

The Cavaliers open the 2000 season with the dedication game of the expanded Carl Smith Center, home of David A. Harrison III Field at Scott Stadium, against Brigham Young on Sept. 2. The game is slated to begin at 3:30 p.m. and will be televised by ABC. UVa remains at home the following Saturday (Sept. 9), facing Richmond at 3:30 p.m. in a non-televised game.

Virginia plays its first road game of the season against Duke in a 6:00 p.m. start on Sept. 16. The Duke game will not be televised.

The Sept. 23 home game against Clemson will also kickoff at 3:30 p.m. and will be televised by ABC.

Virginia plays at Georgia Tech as part of ESPN's "Thursday Night Football" package on Nov. 9. The game is scheduled to begin at 8:00 p.m.
