CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA - The University of Virginia has announced the starting times for the first three football games of the 2001 season.
The "Al Groh Era" opens at Wisconsin in the annual Eddie Robinson Classic on Aug. 25. The game is slated to begin at 2:00 p.m. (EDT) and will be televised by Fox.
Virginia opens its home schedule the following Saturday (Sept. 1) against Richmond in a non-televised game scheduled to begin at 4:30 p.m.
The Cavaliers host Penn State as part of ESPN's "Thursday Night Football" package on Sept. 13 in a contest set to begin at 7:30 p.m.
Game times for the remaining games will be announced at a later time.
