UNC game to be televised by Regional Sports Networks

The Atlantic Coast Conference announced the start time for Virginia's Oct. 22 home game against North Carolina will be 3 p.m. The game will be broadcast by Regional Sports Networks. Throughout the Commonwealth of Virginia, the game will air on Comcast SportsNet Mid-Atlantic.

Here are a list of events taking place for the North Carolina game:
• Cavalier Fan Fest at the AFC will open two hours prior to the game and close 30 minutes prior to the game.  Fan Fest attractions include games, inflatables, big screen televisions showing college football coverage from around the country, a photo booth and more.

• The ACC Football Tailgate Tour will make its stop in Charlottesville for the UNC game.  Be sure to stop by the ACC display located in the JPJ parking lot before the game.

• Members of the Virginia Volleyball team will greet fans at the gates and hand out schedule cards prior to their match against Miami that evening at 7 p.m.  All fans with a Virginia Football vs. UNC game ticket can gain free admission to the volleyball vs. Miami matchup.

• Former Virginia Football Head Coach George Welsh will be recognized during the first quarter of the game to commemorate the 25th anniversary of winning the Dodd Trophy, the most coveted Coach of the Year Award in college football.

• The 2016 Virginia Men's Tennis team will also be honored during the first-second quarter break for winning its second national championship in three years.

Miami at Virginia Tech, ESPN, 7 p.m. (previously announced)



Saturday, October 22
NC State at Louisville, ABC, ESPN or ESPN2*, Noon
Syracuse at Boston College, ACC Network, 12:30 p.m.
North Carolina at Virginia, RSN, 3 p.m.

*Network determined after the games of Oct. 15.
