McCarthy Narrows Focus to Golf as Cavalier

2013-Fall (Senior)

• Finished the fall second on the team with a 70.83 stroke average
• Ranked No. 6 in scoring among all ACC players in the fall
• Finished the fall ranked No. 37 in the Golfweek standings
•Was 23rd at the Bank of Tennessee Intercollegiate, shooting 1-under 215
• Turned in the team's best score at the U.S. Collegiate, shooting 6-under 210
• Had two rounds of 66 in the fall which ranked as fourth best single-round effort by any ACC player in the fall

2012-13 (Junior)
• Redshirting the season after NCAA ruled he had just three years of collegiate eligibility

2011-12 (Sophomore)
• Won ACC Championships with career-best 10-under 206
• First Cavalier to win ACC individual title since Pete Arend in 1955
• Named to All-ACC team
• Named to PING All-East Region team
• Shot season-low 67 (-5) in opening round of ACCs
• Equaled that with 67 (-4) in final round of NCAA Central Regional
• Was 114th at NCAA Championships at +15, 228
• Played in 11 of 12 tournaments
