Myrtle Beach, SC - The Virginia men's golf team is in 12th place after 36 holes of play at Coastal Carolina's General Hackler Invitational held at the TPC of Myrtle Beach. The Cavaliers shot 298 during the morning round to stand 10th overall and then finished in 12th place after an afternoon round of 304 for a combined score of 602.

East Tennessee State had three golfers finish among the top-10 to take a five-shot lead heading into Monday's final round. The 12th-ranked Buccaneers shot 575 while Coastal Carolina is second at 580. Florida State, ranked 26th, is third at 588 while Kansas State is tied with No. 19 Pepperdine in fourth position at 589.

Virginia's Eamon McLoughlin and Daniel Kefale both shot 2-over 146 to tie for 12th. Both Cavaliers shot 72 in the morning and 74 in the afternoon. UVa's Carter Henderson is 58th at 155, Conrad Von Borsig is 64th at 156 and Brad Tilley is 66th at 157. John Fizer, playing as an individual, is 76th at 161.

East Tennessee's Rhys Davies shot 139 and holds a one shot lead over teammate Jordan Findlay and Notre Dame's Scott Gutafson in stroke play.
