SPARTANBURG, S.C. - The Virginia men's golf team is in a tie for second place at seven-over par after two rounds of the Wofford Invitational at the Carolina Country Club (par 72, 6,765 yards). The Cavaliers are tied with Augusta State and are four strokes behind tournament leader Maryland.

Virginia's Cameron Yancey fired rounds of 70 and 71 to enter the final round in second place at three-under par. Keith Unikel of Maryland leads the field at five-under (71-68).

For the Cavaliers, James Driscoll (75-72) and Justin Goodhue (76-71) are tied for 10th at three-over par, Steve Marino is in a tie for 14th place at four-over par (76-72) and Mike MItchell (85-80) and Shivin Kwatra (86-79) are tied for 51st place at 21-over par.

Virginia won the tournament last year with a two-under par 862 to finish eight shots ahead of UNC-Charlotte.
