Birmingham, AL - The Virginia men's golf team shot 10-over 298 during Tuesday's final round at the Shoal Creek Intercollegiate to finish in a tie with LSU for 11th place. The Cavaliers' three-day total was 37-over 901. Alabama won the event by six strokes at 869. Tennessee was second at 875.

Virginia was led by the top-25 finishes of Conrad Von Borsig and Daniel Kefale. Both players shot 1-under 71 during the final 18 holes. von Borsig was 22nd at 223 while Kefale finished 23rd at 224. Andrea Signor was 42nd at 227, Daniel McGurk was 68th at 238 and Greg Carlin was 69th at 238.

Florida State's Jonas Blixt used a final-round 67 to overtake the field for medalist honors. He finished at 5-under 211 while LSU's Brian Noonan was second at 214.

The Cavaliers return to action Oct. 9-10 at Notre Dame's Gridiron Classic.
