Virginia Stands Second at the Mason Rudolph Tournament

FRANKLIN, Tenn.- The Virginia men's golf team stands tied for second at the Mason Rudolf tournament after the first round on Friday.

Baylor leads the field of 12 with a 290 (+2) The Cavaliers shot 292 (+4) to tie Middle Tennessee State, Belmont, and Kansas. Southern Methodist is sixth.

Kansas' Zack Pederson leads all players with a four-under 68 in the opening round. Virginia freshman Conrad Von Borsig (Swarthmore, Pa.) is tied for second with three players with a two-under 70.

Senior Brad Tilley (Chappaqua, N.Y.) is tied for 12th with an even 72. Senior Carter Henderson (Nashville, Tenn.), junior Mark Perry (Atlanta, Ga.), and freshman Daniel Kefale (Woodbridge, Va.) are tied for 30th with a 75 (+3) each.

Play continues at the Mason Rudolph on Oct. 1 and 2 in Franklin, Tenn.
