Virginia Stands 13th at Coca-Cola Duke Classic

DURHAM, N.C.- The Virginia men's golf team stands 13th after the first day at the Coca-Cola Duke Classic on Sunday.

Duke and Coastal Carolina will start the second day with a six-stroke advantage with a 562 (-14), while Minnesota stands close by in third place with a 568 (-8) overall.

Coastal Carolina's Dustin Johnson fired a 134 (-10) to hold a two stroke edge at first place overall. Additionally, Michigan State's Ryan Brehm stands positioned second with a 136 (-8) and Minnesota's Antti Ahokas stands close by with a 137 (-7) after the first day.

The Cavaliers were lead by Senior Brad Tilley (Chappaqua, N.Y.), Junior Eamonn McLoughlin (Amityville, N.Y.), and junior Andrea Signor (Vittorio Veneto, Italy), who each scored a 146 (+2) to tie for 34th. Also, senior Carter Henderson (Nashville, Tenn.) stands tied for 61st with a 151 (+7) and freshman Conrad Von Borsig (Swarthmore, Pa.) stands tied for 75th with a 154 (+10) overall.
