JONESBOROUGH, Tenn.- The Virginia men's golf team stands tied for 14th after the first day at the Bank of Tennessee Intercollegiate on Saturday.

South Carolina will start the second day with a four stroke advantage with a 570 (-6), while North Carolina stands close by in second place with a 574 (-2) overall.

East Tennessee's Rhys Davies fired a 137 (-7) to hold a two-stroke advantage at first place overall, while South Carolina's Florian Fritsch stands positioned second with a close score of 139 (-5). Three players stand tied for third with an 4-under 140 apiece.

Senior Brad Tilley (Chappaqua, N.Y.) leads the Cavaliers with a 150 (+6), positioning him as tied for 45th to start out the second day. Also, Junior Eamonn McLoughlin (Amityville, N.Y.) and Freshman Conrad Von Borsig (Swarthmore, Pa. ) scored a 152 (+8) to tie for 57th. Additionally, senior Carter Henderson (Nashville, Tenn.) shot a 153 (+9), while junior Andrea Signor (Vittorio Veneto, Italy) shot a 156 (+12)
