KNOXVILLE, TN - The Virginia men's golf team finished in seventh place with a three-round total of 872 (+8) at the Coca-Cola Tournament of Champions. The men posted scores of 289 (+1) in both the second and third round.

Cavalier senior Jeremy Luce (Austin, Texas) continued his excellent play, shooting a pair of 69's (-3) in the final two rounds. His total score of 205 (-11) tied him for second place, his best career finish. Sophomore Brad Tilley (Chappaqua, N.Y.) finished with a 222 (+6), giving him a share of 35th place. Freshman Mark Perry (Atlanta, Ga.) and sophomore Craig Cook-Stevenson (Sutton-Coldfield, Eng.) tied for 46th place at 224 (+8). Sophomore Eamonn McLoughlin (Amityville, N.Y.) came in with a 232 (+16), which put him in a tie for 67th place.

Vanderbilt caught on fire in the final round, shooting a 279 (-9) to win the overall title at 849 (-15). The Swedish National team took second place with a score of 854 (-10). Host Tennessee rounded out the top three with an 856 (-8). Georgia Southern's Aron Price was the individual medallist, finishing with a 203 (-13). Luce tied for second place with Jonas Blixt of Sweden at 205 (-11). James Madison's Jay Woodson took fourth place with a score of 207 (-9).

Virginia returns to action Nov. 3-4 at the Turtle Bay Intercollegiate in Kahuku, Hawaii.
