Former University of Virginia golfers James Driscoll ('00) and Steve Marino ('02) both earned a paycheck in the Canadian Professional Golf Tour's season opening event in Austin, Texas over the weekend. Driscoll finished tied for sixth after rounds of 68-68-69-70 and earned $5,175 in the TravelTex.com Canadian Tour Classic played at the Barton Creek C.C. Cliffside Course. Marino earned $300 after finishing tied for 68th with rounds of 69-71-75-78. Both players have fully exempt status on the Canadian Tour in 2003. Driscoll finished 25th on the Canadian Tour's Order of Merit in 2002, while Marino recently finished runnerup in the Tour's 2003 Qualifying School.
