UVa Men's Golfers Open Spring Schedule at Argonaut Invitational

Charlottesville, VA The Virginia men’s golf team resumes its quest for a second straight NCAA berth Monday when the Cavaliers open the spring season at West Florida’s Argonaut Invitational in Pensacola, Fla. The 54-hole tournament gets underway with a shotgun start at 8:30 a.m. The final round is set for Tuesday.

Following the Argonaut Invitational, Virginia remains in Florida during Spring Break week and heads to Tallahassee for Florida State’s Seminole Intercollegiate that takes place March 6-8.

The Argonaut Invitational features a 10-team field hosted by reigning NCAA Division II champions West Florida. Other participants include Western Carolina, Army, James Madison, Liberty, Samford, Houston Baptist, Air Force, Washington State and Ohio. Vanderbilt will have three individual competitors in the field.

Virginia’s lineup will include Ben Kohles, Kyle Stough, Steven Rojas, Conrad Von Borsig and Will Collins. Cole Willcox makes his Cavalier debut, after transferring from Kentucky, playing as a non-scoring individual. Kohles led UVa during the fall portion of the season, posting a team-low 71.82 stroke average through four tournaments.
