Charlottesville, VA - The Virginia men's golf team wraps up its Spring Break week at the General Jim Hackler Championship March 11-12 at the par-72, 6,950-yard TPC of Myrtle Beach. The 18-team event is hosted by Coastal Carolina.

The field includes No. 11 Coastal Carolina, Augusta State, Baylor, No. 25 Charlotte, No. 24 Duke, No. 10 East Tennessee State, Georgia Southern, Kent State, No. 6 Lamar, New Mexico, North Florida, Oklahoma, Pepperdine, Purdue, No. 12 Southern California and No. 18 Tulsa, UNC-Wilmington.

East Tennessee State won the title last year with a team score of 867. Virginia was ninth at 892 with Eamonn McLoughlin finishing fourth and Daniel Kefale eighth.

The tournament's format will feature 36 holes Sunday and the final round Monday. Live scoring will be on the Internet at www.golfstat.com.

The Cavaliers are coming off a sixth-place finish at Florida State's Seminole Intercollegiate last weekend. Freshman Kyle Stough and Kefale, a sophomore, both tied for 10th as the team shot a season-best 2-under 286 during the final round. Stough, Kefale and McLoughlin will be joined in the Cavalier lineup by Greg Carlin and Conrad Von Borsig, the same five players who competed last weekend.
