Greensboro, NC - Virginia sophomore Conrad Von Borsig (Swarthmore, Pa.) was named to the 2007 All-Atlantic Coast Conference men's golf team the league office announced today. The squad is selected by the ACC's head coaches.

Von Borsig led the Cavaliers this season with a 73.67 stroke average and was the team's top finisher in six of the 10 tournaments he played. He also had the low round for the season, a 4-under 68 at The Ridges in October that helped him to one of two top-10 finishes this year. He was fourth at last week's Cavalier Classic. He is the first UVa player to earn All-ACC honors since Kevin O'Connell and Brad Tilley did in 2005.

Four Atlantic Coast Conference teams - Clemson, Florida State, Georgia Tech, and Wake Forest - placed two players each on the all-conference team.

Clemson swept the 2007 ACC individual awards with freshman Kyle Stanley named Player and Freshman of the Year, while Larry Penley was named Coach of the Year for his ninth such honor.

Florida State junior Jonas Blixt was an automatic member of the ACC team as the 2007 medalist winner. Fellow teammate Matt Savage, a sophomore, earned All-Conference honors for the first time.
