UVa Men's Golfer Travel to Shoal Creek Intercollegiate

Charlottesville, VA - The Virginia men's golf team plays in its second fall tournament this season when the Cavalier tee it up at the second annual Shoal Creek Intercollegiate Monday. The two-day, 54-hole event includes two rounds Monday and 18 holes of play Tuesday. The tournament is hosted by UAB.

Virginia's lineup will include Dan McGurk, Conrad Von Borsig, Greg Carlin, Daniel Kefale and Andrea Signor.

Last year LSU came back to defeat SEC rival Tennessee by a single stoke for the inaugural championship. Individually, East Tennessee State's Rhys Davies and Tennessee's Jonathan Mount were declared co-champions after playing even on a four-hole playoff.

Shoal Creek (par-72, 7,114 yards) has played host to the 1984 and 1990 PGA Championship and 1986 U.S. Amateur, and will be the site of to the 2008 U.S. Junior Amateur.
