Men's Golf Currently Tied For 13th At Iron Duke

DURHAM, N.C. — The University of Virginia team is tied with Ohio State in 13th place at 17-over par (305) after 18 holes of the Iron Duke Classic at the Duke golf Course (Par 72, 7,045 yards). Duke leads the tournament at two-under (291).

Virginia’s James Driscoll was the team’s top finisher after the first round with a four-over par 76 and is tied with teammates Steve Marino and Cameron Yancey in 37th place. Mike Mitchell shot a five-over par 77 and is in a tie for 46th place. Shivin Kwatra is at 10-over par with a 82 and is in a tie for 82nd place.

Three golfers are tied for the lead after the first round at two-under par. Georgia Tech’s Bryce Molder, Old Dominion’s Michael Hospodar and Florida Southern’s Wayne Raath all shot 70 and lead Chris Wisler of East Tennessee State by one stroke.
