UVa Men's Golfers Finish 1st Round in 12th Place at the Ridges

Johnson City, TN The Virginia men’s golf team shot 12-over 300 to stand 12th overall after the first round in the 14-team field at East Tennessee State’s Bank of Tennessee at the Ridges tournament. The host Buccaneers lead the field by two shots at even par 288. Coastal Carolina and NC State are tied for second at 290.

Virginia was led by Amory Davis who shot 1-over 73 to stand 20th overall. Will Collins was one shot back in 31st place. Conrad Von Borsig is 44th after carding a 76. Ben Kohles shot 77 and is 52nd and Kyle Stough had an 81 to stand 69th.

NC State’s Matt Hill leads the field at 2-under 70. Eight players are tied for second at 1-under 71, including two other members of the Wolfpack team.

The second round is set for Saturday and the final round takes place Sunday. Live scoring is online at Golfstat.com.
