Last week, at the University of Tennessee's Tournament of Champions in Knoxville, Jeremy "Goose" Luce tied Virginia's all time "under par" record in a 54-hole intercollegiate tournament with an eleven under par total of 205 at the Holston Hills Country Club. Jeremy shot 67-69-69, and finished runner-up to Georgia Southern's Aron Price, who won his third tournament of the fall season.

Jeremy tied his own personal best18-hole score in the first round. He also shot 67 at NC State's tournament last April.

The University of Virginia individual record of eleven under par was previously shared by Jimmy Flippen and Steve Marino. Flippen achieved eleven under par twice; first in 1991, when he won the Kiawah Island Intercollegiate at Osprey Point with a 70-69-66, and again in 1995, winning Florida Southern's Imperial Lakes Classic with rounds of 68-70-67. Marino won Florida State's Invitational at Golden Eagle Country Club in 2001, shooting 70-68-67.

Jeremy is a fifth year senior from Austin, Texas, and is the 2003-04 team's co-captain with Kevin O'Connell.

Virginia returns to action Nov. 3-4 at the Turtle Bay Intercollegiate in Kahuku, Hawaii.
