UVa concludes 2013 season with a 7-8 record and misses NCAAs for first time since 2004

WORTH NOTING: Used his skills honed from the indoor game to have an explosive freshman campaign ... paired with roommate Danny Glading to give Virginia a dangerous pair of first-year attackmen ... excellent shooter in tight spaces ... was one of only three rookies in the country to score at least 30 goals ... third among the nation's freshmen in goals (30), fourth in points (43) and tied for eighth in assists (13) ... his 30 goals are fourth all-time by a Cavalier freshman, while his 43 points rank ninth ... preseason honorable mention All-American by Face-Off Yearbook.

AT VIRGINIA: 2006--Had a tremendous rookie season and was named to the Inside Lacrosse All-Freshmen team ... notched 30 goals and 13 assists for 43 points ... finished in the top 10 in the ACC in scoring, goals and assists ... was sixth in goals per game (1.76) and eighth in points per game (2.53) ... scored at least once in 14 games ... led the team in goals on two occasions ... had a big debut with two goals and an assist against Drexel ... tallied twice in his second game against Denver and three times in his first start vs. Stony Brook ... scored one goal and had three assists in a starting assignment against VMI ... scored twice against Syracuse ... erupted for a career-high five goals and two assists in a 21-13 win at North Carolina ... followed that with two goals and four assists against Bellarmine ... scored three goals in the semifinals vs. Syracuse.

HIGH SCHOOL: A prolific scorer for the Burnaby Lakers Junior A club that won the Minto Cup in 2004 and 2005 ... won the scoring title with 52 goals and 52 assists and 104 points in 2005 and was named to the first all-star team ... also won the 2004 scoring championship with 29 goals and 46 assists ... named the most sportsmanlike player and to the first all-star team that season.
