Newsday All-Long Island ... CHSAA Midfielder of the Year ... MVP of the East team in the US Lacrosse High School Senior Showcase ... scored 51 points (22g, 29a) as a junior ... played in the Empire State games following his junior year ... had 15 goals and 19 assists as a sophomore ... Top 205 All-Star ... played as a freshman at Huntington HS and finished with eight goals and 10 assists ... two-year starter at safety on the football team that won the league championship both years ... team MVP and captain as a senior ... all-league and Newsday All-Long Island ... finished with 95 tackles and seven interceptions ... had two interceptions in the league title game, including one in overtime that set up the winning field goal ... all-league as a junior when he had 60 tackles and three interceptions ... received the Tenner Award as the athlete who shows leadership on the field.

PERSONAL: Son of Kay and Bruce Pomper ... born 7-4-87 in Chatham, N.J. ... has two younger brothers, Brian and Adam ... his father played on Roanoke College's Division II national championship lacrosse team in 1978 and was a third-team All-American attackman in 1981.
