Tucker Radebaugh, a key member of Virginia?s 1999 NCAA championship squad, is in his second year as a Cavalier assistant coach.
He earned four letters playing midfield and attack for UVa from 1996-99. During his senior year, the two-time team captain led the ACC and ranked nationally in points (73), goals (42) and assists (31) as Virginia won its fourth national lacrosse title in school history and first since 1972. Radebaugh was one of six Cavaliers named to the 1999 All-NCAA Tournament team.
Virginia advanced to the NCAA playoffs three other times, reaching the finals in 1996, and won two ACC Tournament championships (1997 and 1999) during Radebaugh?s collegiate career.
Radebaugh was a three-time All-American at UVa, earning first-team recognition as a senior and honorable mention status his sophomore and junior years. He was chosen ACC Player of the Year in 1999 and twice won first-team All-ACC and All-ACC Tournament honors. He received team awards as Virginia?s top player (Voshell Award) twice and for leadership (Gaver Award) three times. He finished his Cavalier career ranked sixth all-time in goals (106) and eighth in points (181).
Radebaugh received his bachelor?s degree in sociology from UVa in May of 1999. A native of Glen Arm, Md., he was a two-sport standout in lacrosse and football at St. Paul?s School in Baltimore.
Radebaugh was recently selected as the second overall pick (by Boston) in the 2001 Major League Lacrosse draft. The MLL opens its first season of play this summer.
