CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. - The Cavaliers (3-0), ranked No. 6 in this week’s USILA coaches and Nike/Inside Lacrosse media polls, return home to Klöckner Stadium for a Tuesday contest with the Mount St. Mary’s Mountaineers (2-1). The Mount is receiving votes in both the USILA coaches and Nike/Inside Lacrosse media polls. Faceoff is slated for 7 p.m. and live stats will be available at

There will be a live radio broadcast in the Charlottesville area on WINA 1070 AM, which will be simulcast as an audio webcast on through Cavaliers Live. John Freeman will bring the play-by-play, Doug Tarring will provide the analysis and Jack Bird will roam the sidelines.

The Cavaliers own a 10-0 all-time record against the Mountaineers and 2013 is the ninth-straight season the two programs have met in a series that started in 2003.  Tuesday’s contest will be the eighth time that UVa has hosted Mount St. Mary’s, including twice in the NCAA Tournament. UVa defeated the Mount the last time out, 17-5, behind six goals from Chris Bocklet and four points from Steele Stanwick.

Virginia enter Tuesday's game on the heels of a 13-7 win at Stony Brook on Saturday. Mark Cockerton led the way with five goals, while Matt White posted six assists with three goals and three assists. Nick O'Reilly leads the way with 14 points and nine assists. Cockerton, playing in only two games, leads UVa with 11 goals, while White is No. 2 with eight goals. Dan Marino is saving 52.4 percent of shots against him and is posting a 7.99 goals against average.

Tom Gravante is in his 19th season at the helm of Mount St. Mary’s.  Andrew Scalley leads the Mountaineers with 11 assists and 19 points, while Cody Lehrer is the top goal scorer with nine.  Adam Borgogelli is saving 53.1 percent of shots against him and has a 11.50 goals against average.

Virginia heads on the road for its annual tilt with Syracuse on Friday. Faceoff in the Carrier Dome is set for 6 p.m.

Tickets for Virginia home lacrosse games can be purchased online at, by phone at (800) 542-8821 or in person at the Virginia Athletics Ticket Office in Bryant Hall at Scott Stadium Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Virginia lacrosse season tickets for 2013 are $50 (adult general admission) and $40 (youth, senior, faculty/staff general admission). Single-game tickets to lacrosse games are $8 (adult general admission), and $6 (youth, senior, faculty/staff general admission).
All reserved seats are sold out for the 2013 season.
