CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va . - The Virginia Cavaliers are ranked No. 9 in the 2013 Inside Lacrosse  Face-Off Yearbook Preseason Top 20, the lowest ranking by the preseason publication since a No. 8 mention in the 2005 edition.

Head coach Dom Starsia enters his 21st season at the helm of the Cavaliers and his 31st season overall as a head coach. Starsia owns the Division I record for career wins with a 341-122 career ledger. His record at Virginia is 240-76, an ACC record for wins. Starsia has won four NCAA titles at UVa.

The Cavaliers return to the field in January for the start of spring practice.
