Virginia Upset by Old Dominion, 1-0

NORFOLK, Va. -Freshman midfielder Patrick Halter (Ellicott City, Md.) scored on a break-away with 29 minutes remaining in the match to give Old Dominion University a 1-0 victory over third ranked Virginia Saturday night. The Cavaliers drop to 11-3-3.

Virginia dominated play, outshooting the Monarchs 16-2. Monarch junior goalkeeper Michael Rodriguez (Bay Shore, NY.) made ten saves and freshman Michael McCatty (Richmond Hill, Canada) made a defensive save latein the match with the ball bounding around in front fo the goal. Virginia played both goalkeepers, Mike Forensich in the first half and Yuri Sagatov in the second half.

Virginia's final regular season match will be next Friday at home against George Mason.
