Men's Tennis Wins Doubles Final at State Championships

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va.‹Virginiašs Huntley Montgomery (Chapel Hill, N.C./Chapel Hill) and Jeff Dawkins (Atlanta, Ga./The Lovett School) won the Doubles A Flight Championship at the 1997 Virginia Collegiate State Championships with an 8-5 defeat of Cavalier teammates John Winter (Richmond, Va./St. Christopheršs) and Hyon Yoo (Rockville, Md./Wheaton).

Andy Nessen (Stockholm, Sweden/St. Andrewšs (Boca Raton, Fla.)) also advanced to the finals in the Flight C Singles bracket but fell to top-seeded Jay Bruner of Virginia Tech 6-4, 6-3.
