Hyon Yoo Falls in Finals at Georgia Tech Fall Classic

ATLANTA -- Hyon Yoo lost in the Flight A finals at the Stone Mountain International Tennis Center in Atlanta this afternoon. The junior from Rockville, Md., fell to Georgia's Hisham Hemeda in straight sets 6-4, 6-3.

Yoo defeated Tadej Senk of Georgia State 6-4, 6-2 in the semifinals this morning to advance to the finals.

In doubles action from late Saturday night, Yoo and John Winter lost to Ryan Fleming and Jan Pollmueller of UNC-Greensboro 8-5 in the third round of Flight A. Huntley Montgomery and Jeff Dawkins also lost in the third round to Scott Wiles and Bob Wellstein of Ohio State 8-4. In third round action in Flight B, Andy Nessen and Nick Acquavella dropped an 8-5 decision to the Tennessee team of Matt Jacobs and Kaspar Rassmussen.
