CHARLOTTESVILLE - The top-ranked Virginia men's tennis team will host USTA College MatchDay on Friday as it faces No. 8 Duke on Friday at the Snyder Tennis Center. Match time for the ACC opener is 3 p.m. and admission is free.

The USTA is debuting the College MatchDay series this year to highlight top teams and rivalries in college tennis. The Virginia-Duke match is the first men's College MatchDay. The goal is to expand the series to one match a week beginning in 2014.

There will be a live audio broadcast of the match on and the USTA will have College MatchDay hats for the first 200 fans in attendance. There will also be a Kids Zone with a face-painter, balloon artist, poster-making station and inflatable games. The Cavalier Band and Cavman will make appearances at the match and fans will be treated to free Domino's Pizza and Pepsi. Following the match there will be a youth clinic with Virginia coaches and student-athletes.

The match is the Cavaliers' conference opener as they look for their 10th consecutive ACC regular season title. Virginia and Duke met earlier this month in the quarterfinals of the ITA National Team Indoor Championships in Seattle. The Cavaliers won that match 4-0 en route to winning the tournament for the fifth time in the past six years.
