CHARLOTTESVILLE - The second-seeded Virginia men's tennis team will host first and second round action of the 2013 NCAA Tournament on Friday and Saturday at the Snyder Tennis Center. The Cavaliers play Fairleigh Dickinson in the first round on Friday at 1 p.m., with VCU and Minnesota meeting in the other first round match at 10 a.m. The first round winners will meet in the second round at 3 p.m. on Saturday for a trip to the round of 16 next week at Illinois.
This weekend's matches are scheduled to be played outdoors at the Snyder Tennis Center and there will be free parking for fans at the Culbreth Garage. It is the Knights' second consecutive trip to Charlottesville, having played Virginia in last year's first round. The Rams, making their 18th overall NCAA appearance, travel to Charlottesville for the third straight year for regional play. Minnesota (14-10) received its fifth straight NCAA bid and its 19th overall. The at-large selection from the Big Ten is making its first trip to a regional in Charlottesville.
