ITA Atlantic Regional Main Draw Starts Friday

CHARLOTTESVILLE - The Virginia men's tennis team will host the ITA Atlantic Regional this weekend at the Snyder Tennis Center. Qualifying singles was played Thursday and main draw play in singles and doubles will start on Friday. 

Virginia has seven players in the main draw of singles, including six of the 16 seeds. Jarmere Jenkins (College Park. Ga.) is the top seed in the draw, Justin Shane (Falls Church, Va.) is the No. 3 seed, Ryan Shane (Falls Church, Va.) is the No. 6 seed, Harrison Richmond (Pawleys Island, S.C.) is the No. 7 seed, Mitchell Polnet (Churchville, Pa.) is the No. 14 seed, and Julen Uriguen (Guatemala City, Guatemala) is the No. 16 seed. Jonathan Cornish(London, England) is also competing in singles.

Friday's schedule consists of one round of singles and one round of doubles. Play starts at 10 a.m., and admission is free.
