Feldman Qualifies for Maccabiah Games

Senior Co-Captain to Represent United States this Summer

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. - Senior co-captain Zach Feldman (Dunwoody, Ga./Dunwoody) has qualified for the Maccabiah Games to be held in Israel this summer. Feldman will be a member of the United States team that will compete in Tel Aviv in July of this year.

Feldman won the right to represent the United States with victories at the qualifying tournament held at the Jewish Community Center in Wilmington, Delaware, this past weekend. His victories over Todd Zilker of New Rochelle, N.Y. and Matthew Lachoff of Hicksville, N.Y. clinched his first-place standing.

Feldman finished the season by taking second-place honors at the ACC Championships. At the NCAA meet in Iowa, Feldman finished with a 2-2 record. His overall record for the 1996-97 season was 16-6 with one fall.

The Maccabiah Games will be held in Tel Aviv, Israel, this summer, July 6-24.
