Roth Named ACC Wrestler of the Week

Records Two Pins en Route to a Perfect Week

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va - Virginiaís Matt Roth (Wescosville, Pa./Parkland) was named the ACC Wrestler of the week after recording three wins over the past weekend to help the Cavaliers to a pair of non-conference wins.

Two of those three wins for Roth were pins, his third and fourth of the season. Rothís first win was a victory over UNCís C. C. Fisher, the runner-up at 126 pounds at the ACC meet last year. Roth has a record of 16-4 on the season, which leads the team in winning percentage. He is the defending state champion at 126 pounds.
