Nine Virginia wrestlers competed in the NCAA Championships Thursday (March 21).

2013 NCAA Qualifier - 184 pounds

AT VIRGINIA:
2012-13
• Went 19-12, including 13-5 mark in duals
• Qualified for his first NCAA Championships after runner-up finish at ACC Championships
• Named to ACC Academic Honor Roll for third straight year
• Went 16-11 at 184 pounds this year
• Went 2-2 at NCAA Championships, with wins by decision over Campbell's James Cook and Wyoming's Shane Woods; lost to Iowa State's Boaz Beard and No. 8 seed Josh Ihnen of Nebraska (sudden victory time)
• Was 3-2 in ACC duals, defeating Alex Utley (UNC), Dylan Ryan (Duke) and Keegan Cerwinski (NC State) and falling to Nick Vetterlein (Virginia Tech) and No. 7 Jimmy Sheptock (Maryland)
• Eleven of his 19 wins resulted in bonus points (five falls, one tech fall, five majors)

• Went 20-5 while competing unattached in open tournaments
• Won the Mat Town Open (11/26) and Appalachian Open (1/28) at 174 pounds
