Nine Virginia wrestlers competed in the NCAA Championships Thursday (March 21).

• Fifth in career falls at UVa with 25

• Posted 24-5 record during junior season
• Won 2012 ACC Championship, with pin of NCAA qualifier Coltin Fought of NC State in semis and 3-1 decision against qualifier Shane Gentry of Maryland in finals
• Went 8-0 in duals, including 5-0 in ACC action
• No. 11 national seed at 125 pounds at NCAA Championships
• Went 2-2 at NCAAs, with both losses coming in close bouts with top-6 national seeds
• Fell 4-3 in a tiebreaker to No. 6 seed Frank Perrelli of Cornell and 4-1 to No. 3 seed Alan Waters of Missouri at NCAAs
• Defeated Johnni DiJulius (Ohio State) by decision and pinned Jared Germaine (Eastern Michigan) at NCAAs
• Finished year ranked as high as No. 10 nationally

• Nabbed 10 wins against competitors in NCAA field; 10-4 versus the 2012 NCAA field

• Went 20-6 in duals, including 4-1 in ACC action
• Earned automatic bid to NCAA Championships where he reached round of 12 and finished one win shy of All-America status
• Lost to top-ranked and eventual national champion Anthony Robles of Arizona State, then battled through consolation bracket to win three straight matches - Shane Young of West Virginia (5-4), No. 11 seed Frank Perrelli of Cornell (13-4 MD) and Joe Langel of Rutgers (13-8)
• Wrestled No. 5 seed Zach Sanders of Minnesota with opportunity to earn All-America honors but fell 6-5 (had cradle locked up in third period before Sanders got loose and reversed him for deciding points)
• Finished as ACC runner-up, losing to Virginia Tech's Jarrod Garnett in overtime
• His lone ACC loss came in sudden victory time to Garnett (Snyder held an 8-0 lead in the match)
• Named to Academic All-ACC Wrestling Team and ACC Academic Honor Roll
• Earned three wins over top-20 foes: then-No. 20 Anthony Zanetti of Pitt, then-No. 14 Garrett Frey of Princeton and Perrelli at (NCAAs)
• Earned 10 wins versus 2011 NCAA qualifiers
• All 11 of his losses came to wrestlers who were ranked at the time
• Finished with No. 17 national ranking in Amateur Wrestling News poll
• Earned team's Mike Krafchick Academic Achievement Award

• Went 27-16 during first season as a Cavalier
• Ranked second on team with 10 falls this season (four at 133 pounds)
• Moved up from his normal weight class of 125 pounds to 133 midway through the season to help fill the team's void there
• Lost first three bouts at 133 but went 9-5 from then on
• ACC runner-up at 133 pounds - pinned Virginia Tech's Matt LiVorio in semifinals and dropped 2-1 decision to
• Went 4-1 in ACC duals at 133, defeating UNC's Jeremy Shaw, Virginia Tech's Matt LiVorio, Duke's Nick Adamo and NC State's Dale Shull; lone defeat was a 3-2 decision to Maryland's Mookie Golden
• Named ACC Wrestler of the Week Feb. 16 after scoring falls against Adamo and Shull at 133 pounds
• Competing at 125, he finished third at Hokie Open (11/8), sixth at Nittany Lion Open (12/6) and seventh at Southern Scuffle (12/30)
• Named to All-ACC Academic Wrestling Team and ACC Academic Honor Roll

• Competed in open tournaments during redshirt year
• Notched 25-12 record at 125 pounds
• Recorded 10 falls, four tech falls
• Champion of 125-pound class at Michigan State Open (Freshman/Sophomore Class)

• At Beast of the East Tournament, took third place in 2007 (119 pounds), fourth in 2006 (112 pounds) and seventh
