CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. - University of Virginia wrestler Scott Moore (Franklin, Pa./Franklin Academy), currently ranked #1 in the nation at 141-pounds, improved his record to 38-0 overall, 11-0 in dual matches after going 3-0 in dual match action this past weekend (2/7 - 2/8). Moore has recorded 27 of his 38 wins by fall this season, which ranks him second all-time at Virginia for most falls in a career. His next fall will tie the UVa school-record for most falls in a career (28) set by Matt Roth from 1995-99.

In just three-quarters of a season (as of 2/9), Moore is currently second all-time at Virginia for most falls in a career (27), first at UVa for most falls in a single season (27) and is tied for fourth at Virginia for most wins in a single season (38). He is also currently tied for first all-time at UVa for best winning percentage in a single-season and is currently first all-time at Virginia for best winning percentage for a career (1.000). The best winning percentage record for a single-season at Virginia is 1.000 set by Alex Wells in 1957 after going 13-0, while the best winning percentage for a career at UVa is .905 set by Henry Jordan after going 38-4 from 1955-1957.

Moore's next chance to tie or break the school-record for most falls in a career at Virginia will be on Saturday, February 14th when UVa travels to Raleigh, N.C. to face the N.C.
