Auburn Hills, MI - Virginia wrestlers Eric Albright and Rocco Caponi were knocked out of the competition at the 2007 NCAA Wrestling Championships. Both Cavaliers lost their opening matches Thursday to drop into the consolation wrestleback.

Albright managed a pair of wins in the 133-pound wrestleback Thursday but was eliminated from the tournament Friday when he dropped a 6-3 decision to Missouri's Tyler McCormick.

Caponi was unable to compete Friday in his wrestleback match against Illinois' John Dergo and lost by forfeit. Caponi suffered a knee injury during the season that forced him to miss the Cavaliers' final three regular season matches. He returned for the ACC Championships where he won the 184-pound division to qualify for the NCAAs for the second time in his career.
