CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. - Two members of the University of Virginia wrestling team, 141-pounder Scott Moore (Franklin, Pa./Franklin Academy) and 165-pounder Tim Foley (Stafford, Va./Brooke Point), will represent UVa when the duo competes in the 2004 NCAA Division I Wrestling Championships on March 18-20 at the Savvis Center in St. Louis, Missouri. Moore, the #1 ranked wrestler in country, carries a perfect record of 46-0 overall into the event. Foley, ranked #11 in the nation, takes a record of 34-4 overall into the competition.

Moore and Foley are looking to become Virginia's first national champions in wrestling and the duo seeks to become just the eighth and ninth All-Americans in UVa wrestling history.

Moore has enjoyed a banner season this year. The 141-pounder has been named the ACC Wrestler of the Week four times this season and has taken first place or won all seven events/competitions he has competed in this year. Moore has taken first place at the Mat Jam ACC Wrestling Championships, the Michigan State Open, Cornell's Body Bar Invitational, the Mat Town USA Invitational, the Collegiate Beast of the East, UNC Greensboro's South Scuffle, the Virginia Intercollegiate State Wrestling Championships and won his match at the National Wrestling Coaches Association (NWCA) All-Star Classic.

Moore has won an NCAA-leading 31 of his 46 matches this year by fall which shattered the UVa school-record for most pins in a career for a Cavalier. He finished the regular season 17-0 in dual matches and has also posted four technical fall victories and one major decision win this year.

Foley, who was named the ACC Wrestler of the Week once this season, has also enjoyed a career campaign. The 165-pounder has won two of the five invitationals/tournaments he has competed in this year as has placed no lower than fourth in the other events. Foley won the Mat Jam ACC Wrestling Championships and the Virginia Intercollegiate State Wrestling Championships, took second place at the Mat Town USA Invitational, placed third at Cornell's Body Bar Invitational and finished fourth at the Michigan State Open.

Foley went 16-1 in dual matches this season and won 13 of his 34 matches by fall. He also recorded six major decisions and three technical fall victories.
