ACC All-Academic Team Listing

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – Five members of the Virginia wrestling program have been recognized for achievements in the classroom with the announcement of the 2017 All-ACC Academic Team by the league office on Monday (April 17).

Redshirt junior Andrew Atkinson (Lynchburg, Va.), redshirt seniors Ray Bethea (Trenton, N.J.), George DiCamillo (Highland Heights, Ohio) and Will Mason (Virginia Beach, Va.), and freshman Jack Mueller (Dallas, Texas) were all named to the team. Virginia tied with Duke for the most selections to the team this season.

Atkinson was named to the team for the second time in his career and is one of only five wrestlers on this year’s All-ACC Academic Team to have earned multiple selections to the team.

To be eligible for All-ACC Academic Team consideration, a student-athlete must have earned a minimum 3.00 GPA for the previous semester and maintained a minimum 3.00 cumulative average during his academic career.
