Lesley Dickinson joined the Cavalier women's basketball staff as the assistant director of operations in the summer of 2012 after spending two years as a graduate assistant at Georgia State.

Dickinson earned her masters degree in sports administration from Georgia State while also serving as a graduate assistant. She was responsible for film exchange and the hiring and supervising of student managers as well as overseeing the team's community service programs. Dickinson also managed alumni relations for the Panthers.

Prior to her time at Georgia State, Dickinson served as an assistant coach for the Dayton Flyers from 2007-10. Working primarily with the point guards, the Flyers earned their first-ever top-25 ranking in both the AP and ESPN/USA Today polls as well as the first ever NCAA Tournament bid during her coaching tenure.

Dickinson was a four-year letterwinner at James Madison University, scoring 1,616 points in her career, the fourth-most in program history. Her stellar playing career saw her break in as the CAA Rookie of the Year in 2003-04 and leave as the 2006-07 CAA Women's Basketball Scholar-Athlete of the Year. JMU had two postseason tournament appearances during her career. After graduating with her bachelor's degree in psychology in 2007, Dickinson received a Women's Enhancement Postgraduate Scholarship from the NCAA.

Raised in Queen's Village, N.Y., she played at prep power Christ the King High School.
