Virginia leads the all-time series 33-13 and has won each of the last three meetings, including upsetting both the then-ranked No. 17 Seminoles 85-68 in Charlottesville earlier this season and a then-ranked No. 24 FSU squad 72-60 in the 2012-13 regular-season finale. Virginia's last loss in the series was a 78-74 game on Feb. 7, 2011 in Charlottesville.
Florida State started the season with a 14-1 record, but has gone 4-9 since. The Seminoles have lost three of their last four games, including falling 86-78 on Thursday night (Feb. 27) at home against Georgia Tech.
Virginia has lost three consecutive games, including a pair of tough losses to No. 11 North Carolina and No. 14 NC State, and has dropped five of its last six contests.
On Thursday night (Feb. 27) against Miami, UVa Virginia led by 11 points with 7:48 remaining in the first half and held a 36-32 advantage at halftime, but the hot-shooting Hurricanes outscored Virginia 51-27 in the second half to move past UVa in the ACC standings.
