SAN JOSE, Costa Rica - The Cavaliers are playing three exhibition contests in Costa Rica as part of their foreign tour with neither the results nor the stats from these scrimmages counting.

In the first action of the foreign tour, Virginia defeated Ottawa 65-30. The Gee Gees scored the first four points of the game, but the Cavaliers answered with a 14-0 run and never looked back. Two Cavaliers finished with double-doubles with sophomore guard Jocelyn Willoughby (East Orange, N.J.) scoring a team-high 16 points with 10 rebounds. Sophomore center Felicia Aiyeotan (Lagos, Nigeria) grabbed a game-high 14 rebounds with 10 points and four blocked shots. Sophomore forward Lisa Jablonowski (Ernster, Luxembourg) grabbed 11 boards while scoring seven points. The Cavaliers outrebounded the Gee Gees 54-37 and held Ottawa to 17.4 percent shooting.

The second meeting in two days between the Cavaliers and Gee Gees was a much more competitive contest with the Cavaliers coming away with a 63-57 victory. The Cavaliers held a 26-21 lead at the break, but the Gee Gees rallied in the third quarter with guard Amelie Hatchey fueling the charge with 14 second-half points. Virginia closed out the game on a 13-0 run in the final 4:23 to come away with the victory. Willoughby had her second-straight double-double with 10 points and 10 rebounds. Senior guard Aliyah Huland El (Randolph, N.J.) led the Cavaliers with 15 points. Sophomore guard Dominique Toussaint (Staten Island, N.Y.) scored 12 points with seven rebounds. Willoughby, Huland El and Toussaint combined to score all but one point of UVA's final run.

The Cavaliers closed out the scrimmages with an 81-36 victory over the Costa Rican National Team. Aiyeotan had a dominant game, scoring 16 points on 8-of-11 shooting with eight rebounds and three blocked shots in 16 minutes on the court. Huland El contributed 14 points with seven rebounds. Willoughby scored 10 points with four rebounds, three blocked shots and three steals in nine minutes of action. Toussaint went 3-for-3 shooting, scoring six points with six assists in 12 minutes.
