Men's and women's basketball is holding preseason events that are free to fans.

CHARLOTTESVILLE - The Virginia men's and women's basketball programs announced Wednesday (Sept. 18) a schedule of preseason events open to the public at John Paul Jones Arena. Admission is free to all preseason events.
On Sunday, Sept. 29, the men's basketball team will hold a Meet the Team event and open house from 4-5:30 p.m. Fans will have an opportunity to meet the players and tour the practice court, locker rooms, weight room, a luxury suite and the video services office at John Paul Jones Arena.
The women's basketball team will hold a similar Meet the Team event and open house event on Sunday, Nov. 3 from 2-3:30 p.m. This event will include an autograph session with the team and an opportunity to tour the women's basketball practice court and locker rooms in addition to the weight room, video services office, and a luxury suite.
The women's basketball team will hold an open practice and interactive meet and greet event for UVA Health System Hoos members on Sunday, Oct 20 from 2-4 p.m.
Both teams will also hold practices open exclusively to season ticket holders. Season ticket holders will receive an invitation to the event by email.
Fans may also meet the Virginia men's and women's basketball players inside Scott Stadium's entrances during the next two Virginia home football games. Members of the women's basketball team will greet fans on Sept. 21 before the start of the UVa-VMI game. Members of the Cavalier men's basketball team will be inside Scott Stadium's gates prior to kickoff of the Virginia-Ball State game on Oct. 5.
Season tickets and four-game and five-game mini-packages are on sale for the 2013-14 men's basketball season. Men's basketball season tickets are available at four price levels between $166-$444. There are also four pricing options to choose from for the two mini-packages. The four-game Weekend Package is offered between $75-$150, while the five-game ACC Rivalry Package is offered between $85-$150.
Women's basketball reserved seat season tickets are $95 for adults and $70 for youth, seniors, UVa faculty and staff. Women's basketball general admissions season tickets are $80 for adults and $60 for youth, seniors, UVa faculty and staff.
Tickets may be purchased by contacting the Virginia Athletics Ticket Office at 1-800-542-UVA1 (8821). Fans can also purchase tickets online at VirginiaSports.com or in-person at the Virginia Athletics Ticket Office in Bryant Hall at Scott Stadium.
