CHARLOTTESVILLE - Single-game tickets and Family Packages for Virginia's home women's basketball games are on sale now. Virginia has 16 home games at John Paul Jones Arena during the 2010-11 season.
The Cavaliers' home-opener is Sunday, Nov. 14, vs. Mount St. Mary's. UVa's other regular-season home games include Longwood (Nov. 21), Drexel (Dec. 4), Radford (Dec. 6), UMBC (Dec. 18), North Carolina A&T (Dec. 28), the Marriott Cavalier Classic championship game or consolation game (Dec. 29), Richmond (Jan. 3), Miami (Jan. 6), Pennsylvania (Jan. 16), Maryland (Jan. 21), Virginia Tech (Jan. 23), Wake Forest (Feb. 3), Florida State (Feb. 7), Boston College (Feb. 20) and Duke (Feb. 24).
Single-game tickets for all of Virginia's home games are available. Tickets for the Cavaliers' regular-season home games are priced at $9 for Reserved seats, $7 for General Admission seats and $5 for youth (18 and under), seniors (60 and over) and UVa Faculty/Staff General Admission seats. UVa Faculty/Staff are limited to two reduced price tickets per valid employee ID shown at the Athletics Ticket Office or JPJ Box Office.
Family Packages are available for Virginia's home games with Mount St. Mary's, Longwood, Pennsylvania, Virginia Tech and Boston College. The Family Package includes a minimum of four tickets at $8 per ticket and includes a voucher for a hot dog and a 22-ounce soda with each ticket.
A limited number of Reserved and General Admission season tickets remain available, with prices ranging from $45 to $80 per seat.
The six-game mini-package also remains available, offering reserved seating for six games of the fan's choice for $30 each.
John Paul Jones Arena will host three NCAA Championship games during the preliminary rounds of the 2011 NCAA Championship. NCAA Championship ticket books for the first and second round games on March 20 and 22 also remain available. Ticket book prices are $25 for Reserved seating and $15 for General Admission seating, and include tickets for all three tournament games.
Fans can purchase tickets online at VirginiaSports.com, or through the Athletics Ticket Office in Bryant Hall at Scott Stadium. The ticket office is open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. for in-person or telephone purchases. Telephone purchases can be made by calling 1-800-542-UVA1 (8821) or locally at 434-924-UVA1 (8821).
