CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – The Virginia women’s basketball team (4-6) will travel to the West Palm Invitational this weekend to play Ohio (5-3) on Sunday (Dec. 17) at 3:30 p.m. and Indiana (6-4) on Monday (Dec. 18) at noon at the Student Life Center at Keiser University in West Palm Beach Fla.

All of the 2017-18 Virginia women's basketball games - home and away - are available locally on the radio on NewsRadio 1070 AM and 98.9 FM WINA. Links for live stats and live video stream are available on VirginiaSports.com.

Virginia is coming off a 12-day break for exams, most recently falling 52-43 at Rutgers on Dec. 4. Sophomore guard Jocelyn Willoughby (East Orange, N.J.) scored the first seven points of the fourth period and finished with a team-high 14 in the game.

Sophomore center Felicia Aiyeotan (Lagos, Nigeria) led the Cavaliers with a season-high 11 rebounds against the Scarlet Knights. It was the second time this season Aiyeotan has had 10 or more boards. Aiyeotan added four blocks in the contest. She ranks 10th with 83 in 40 career games, and is three shy of tying Schuye LaRue with 86.

Redshirt senior guard J’Kyra Brown (Rocky Mount, N.C.) stepped into the starting lineup, scoring 13 points at Rutgers. Brown had eight of UVA’s first 10 points to begin the game. She opened the game 3-for-3 with two three-pointers.

This will be the first meeting between Virginia and Ohio. Ohio is 5-3 on the season after opening with three-straight wins. The Bobcats most recently defeated Purdue 77-71 on the road. Ohio ranks first nationally in turnover margin (13.88) and is third in the country in steals per game (15.3) and turnovers forced (26.88). Three players are averaging double-figures for the Bobcats. Amani Burke and Cierra Hooks are tied for the team-lead with 12.5 points per game as a sophomore and freshman, respectively. Hooks also leads Ohio with a 47.1 shooting percentage and in rebounding with 5.6 per contest.

Virginia is 3-0 all-time versus Indiana. The last time the two teams met was on Dec. 1, 2011 when UVA won 65-49 in Charlottesville. The previous two meetings were neutral site contests. Indiana enters the West Palm Invitational 6-4 overall. The Hoosiers have won two-straight after topping North Texas, 68-63 and Northern Kentucky, 67-56. Tyra Buss leads Indiana with 20.9 points per game, 50 assists and 21 steals. Amanda Cahill is second on the team with 12.4 points per game and leads the way with 9.6 rebounds per contest and 11 blocks. Kym Royster is averaging 12.2 points per game and Jaelynn Penn adds 10.0 points per game.

Virginia will close out its non-conference slate at home on Thursday, Dec. 12 when it hosts Manhattan at 7 p.m. in John Paul Jones Arena.
