The Virginia hockey team (10-5) fell 3-0 today to ACC-rival Wake Forest (10-3) in Winston-Salem. After the Cavaliers forced the first corner of the game, the Demon Deacons took 12 shots to the Cavaliers' six in the first half and led 2-0 at the break. In the second half, the Hoos allowed only four shots but the Demon Deacons capitalized on them, scoring once more to take the 3-0 victory.

Two minutes later, she hit the second on a tip of a crossing pass fro Jennie Shelton. In the second half, Kelly Doton crashed the keeper's pads and put in another pass from Shelton, giving the Demon Deacons the 3-0 lead they would not relinquish.
