Virginia Announces Spring Competition Dates

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. - The Virginia field hockey team will play in a combination of four scrimmages and tournaments during its 2018 spring training period, including three home scrimmages.

The 2017 ACC Regular-Season Champions will begin spring competition on Saturday, March 24, hosting the U.S. U-21 team and then will take on the US Development Squad on Sunday, March 25. The Cavaliers will also host James Madison in a home scrimmage on Friday, March 30.

Virginia will close out the spring on Sunday, April 8, playing at the University of Pennsylvania tournament in Philadelphia, Pa.

The home scrimmages are open to the public and will be played at University Hall Turf Field.

Saturday, March 24: vs. USA U21 NATIONAL TEAM, 1:30 p.m.
Sunday, March 25: vs USA DEVELOPMENT TEAM, 11:30 a.m.
Friday, March 30: JAMES MADISON, 6 p.m.

Sunday, April 8: at Penn tournament, all day
