WINNIPEG, Canada - Cavalier All-American Michelle Vizzuso (Fairfield, N.J./West Essex) scored a goal off a penalty corner today to help the USA Field Hockey team defeat Cuba 4-0 and move to 3-1 in pool play at the 1999 Pan American Games.

The USA scored just 2 minutes into the game when Jill Reeve slotted a penalty corner shot past the Cuban keeper. Reeve's goal, which proved to be the game-winner, set the tone for the rest of the day and the USA team was simply overwhelming. On Sunday, August 1, the USA will face Mexico (0-3-1) before closing out round robin play with Chile (0-2-2) on August 2.

The winner of the Pan American Games will receive an automatic berth into the Olympic Games in 2000.
