University of Virginia field hockey goalkeeper Emily White (Finksburg, Md./Westminster) was named the ACC Player of the Week for her performance over the past week. White made 13 saves as the Cavaliers upset the #10 UNC Tar Heels 1-0 on Sunday, days after she made six saves in a 2-1 victory over Virginia Commonwealth. White has allowed only one goal in the last 140 minutes. She also ranked in the top 12 nationally in saves and save percentage last week. This is her second time being so honored this year as White also picked up the honor on September 9. White was also selected to the womensfieldhockey.com national honor roll for this past week as well.
